Welcome,
I was born in Warsaw, Poland, where I spent much of my childhood till my early twenties when I moved to Baghdad for a couple years, and next, in the early thirties, moved to Houston, Texas, where I reside nowadays. First, I discovered my passion for colors in music performances, attending Thursdays Warsaw Symphony concerts. Music and colors go hand in hand since then.
The Glassell MFAH School in Houston guided my choice into the oil painting, where I studied most of my years under Francesca Fuchs.
Also, engaged into International Voices Houston Choir at the same time, coincident? Each painting represents a different time of my life, and like different choir concerts or song helps to march forward while visiting the past moments or inspiring for change to come.
The trees or nature are particularly close to me. To reflect the palette of my heart colors, I am skipping the leaf details or trunk texture in favor of the color, and composition since in my canvas trees have no beginning and no end, some lived several hundreds years, ancient, or timeless?
On the contrary, the geometrical, or shapeless, in either cosmic bright, eye opener, or rare colors paintings, these are the challenges and searches for resolutions. Most of them are oil paintings, some in acrylic media. All of them for sale.
Thank you for visiting my page. Enjoy!
Hanna
P.s. Of course, dog Kan is in the studio or when I paint outdoors, his role is to tell me, it is time for break and let’s play, etc.
